Reinforced concrete girder bridge crossing Rmel River in the governorate of Kef

The structure crosses the Rmel river, located on the axis of the national road RN5 which connects the capital Tunis (in the north-east) to the Algerian-Tunisian border (in the north-west) via Sakiet Sidi Youssef.

The structure is a reinforced concrete girder bridge with three independent spans with a span of 23.00 m each. Each span is made up of 7 prefabricated variable-section I-beams connected by a 20 cm thick slab cast on site using a permanent formwork (B.A slabs 5 cm thick).
The 10.5 m wide apron supports two-way traffic; It has two (2) end joints of the roadway.

The total length of the structure is 72.77 m.
