Rehabilitation of railway line N°6

The Kalaa Khasba - Hidra link was built in 1930 as part of the project to connect the Tunis-Kalaa Khasba line to the Algerian network by Aïn Karma in Tunisia and Ghilane in Algeria and the Hidra - Kasserine section was put into operation in 1940.
CETA carried out the studies for the rehabilitation of the railway infrastructure for the restoration of the activity on the section linking the city of Kalaa Khasba to the city of Kasserine on a linear of 85km.

In addition to the geometrical studies, CETA carried out the auscultation of the existing engineering structures on the line, the environmental and social impact studies and the economic studies. In addition, four stations in the cities of Kalaa Khasba, Foussena, Hidra and Kasserine were the subject of a rehabilitation and reconstruction study.
