The Medenine - Ras Jedir motorway link, approximately 92 km long, is part of the north-south axis of the motorway plan selected for the economic and social development plan in Tunisia. This link is part of the Trans-Maghreb Corridor project to link the countries of the Arab Maghreb Union (AMU): Mauritania, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Libya.

The CETA design office was approached by the companies for the development of the design work for Lot5.
