Bridge with reinforced concrete beams crossing the Meliane river in the governorate of Ben Arous

The structure crosses the Meliane River, located on the axis of the RN3 national road which connects the capital Tunis (to the northeast) to the Algerian-Tunisian border (to the southwest).

The structure is a reinforced concrete girder bridge with three independent 24m. Each span is made up of 8 prefabricated variable-section I-beams connected by a 20 cm thick slab cast on site by means of a permanent formwork (B.A slabs 5 cm thick). The 10.86 m wide apron supports two –way traffic; It has two (2) end joints of the roadway.

The total structure length is 75.90 m.

It is a girder bridge with three (3) independent 24m spans.
